Missing a Maths or English qualification shouldn’t hold you back. At Lancashire Adult Learning, as a student aged 19+, you can gain or improve your GCSE Maths and/or English,
whether you’re aiming for a new career, further study, or a personal goal you’ve always wanted to reach.

Our expert tutors break it down step by step, so it finally clicks, no matter how it felt at school. And most of our courses are FREE for Lancashire residents.

Available courses:

GCSE Maths

A GCSE in Maths can open the door to your next move. Universities and employers often ask for it. It’s also a common entry requirement for careers in teaching, nursing and more. We make Maths make sense, one step at a time, with the support you need to get there.

GCSE English

Sharpen your reading and writing and secure the English grade that opens doors. You’ll build real confidence, not just exam tricks. We’ll work with you to push past your barriers, with one-to-one support whenever you need it.

Your Questions Answered

For many careers and courses, yes. Teaching, nursing and countless other roles ask for a Grade 4 in Maths or English and many colleges and universities do too. If you don’t have the grade you need, we’ll help you get it.
Yes. We offer flexible options built around adult life. GCSE courses run from September to July, one evening a week. You choose the route that fits your schedule.
Most of our courses are FREE for Lancashire residents. Our friendly team will talk you through your options and check what you’re eligible for.
You’ll learn in friendly, supportive groups with expert tutors who know how to make it make sense. They’ll work out where you got stuck before and help you move forward, with extra one-to-one support whenever you need it.
