You do not have to wait until college begins to find out what college life is really like!
Our Academy Programmes are free, run after school, and open to anyone in Year 10 or Year 11. You will spend time in real college spaces, including our Hair Salon, Engineering Workshop, Cyber Hub, Science Labs and Apple Mac Suite.
These programmes give you the chance to try a subject properly, develop new skills, and see yourself in a college environment before it is time to apply.
If you are curious, motivated, and ready to explore what your future could look like, Academy Programmes are a great place to start.
A 1.5-hour taster session built around one practical skill. In one session you
could be styling hair in our professional salon, recording your own podcast, or
solving your first Cyber Security challenge. Perfect if you want to try
something new without committing to a full programme.
Six weekly 1.5-hour sessions, each focusing on a different skill in your chosen
subject. You might move from learning the basics of construction to reading
technical drawings, or from understanding how the body works to practising
real care techniques. A great way to build a broader picture of a subject over
time.
Six weeks. One real project. Each session builds on the last, so your skills grow as your project takes shape. You could finish with a working clock you engineered, a 3D home design you created from scratch, or a live Cyber Security solution you built and tested. It’s our most immersive programme, the closest to real college study, and the best choice if you want to go deep and leave with something you’re proud of.
