Course Overview
We know how important it is to have the right skills to stand out, secure an apprenticeship, and succeed in your career. That’s why the Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations is designed not only to give you solid technical training, but also the employability skills that make employers sit up and take notice.
This course covers the foundations every future engineer needs, including health and safety, engineering maths and science, materials, CAD, machining, and welding. You’ll also get hands-on experience in workshop skills like turning, milling, and fitting, as well as practical training in assembly, testing, and circuitry. It’s a chance to get stuck into real engineering and gain the experience that makes a difference.
But we don’t stop there. Alongside your technical skills, we’ll help you build essential employability skills like communication, presentation, CV writing, job searching, and interview techniques. You’ll also complete industry-recognised extras, such as Health & Safety at Work, giving you even more to put on your CV. Relevant work placements add to your experience, helping you apply your knowledge in real situations.
If you don’t secure an apprenticeship straight away, don’t worry. We’ll support you on this programme, helping you work towards a recognised qualification and develop the skills employers want. When the right opportunity comes along, you’ll be ready to transfer straight into an apprenticeship.
If you’re ambitious, practical, and apprenticeship-focused, this course will get you where you want to go.
