The Steps to Success programme at NCC is a personalised pathway designed primarily for learners with additional needs who want to build their confidence, independence and readiness for adult life and employment.
Course Overview
You’ll develop the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to prepare for volunteering and make a positive contribution to your community. You’ll learn about different volunteering opportunities, workplace expectations, communication and teamwork, while developing practical skills such as completing applications, preparing for interviews and working effectively with others. The course will help you understand what to expect from volunteering and prepare you to take your next steps with confidence.

How is the course delivered?
You’ll be given lots of support from our tutors within the classroom as you partake in a range of activities and workshops. You’ll be working independently and as part of a team on a variety of projects to help you prepare for the world of volunteering.
