Course Overview

Want to be part of the action in TV, film, live events, or digital media? The T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production gives you the chance to step behind the scenes of one of the most exciting industries in the world and learn exactly how ideas are transformed into the content we watch, stream, and share every day.

You’ll begin with core components, exploring how the creative economy works and why media has such a powerful impact on society. You’ll dive into audience needs, cultural context, and consumer behaviour—discovering what makes people laugh, cry, and keep coming back for more. You’ll also learn about legal standards, workplace professionalism, research, project management, and equality and inclusion, all while sharpening your creativity and technical confidence.

Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll specialise in the area that excites you most. Whether it’s operating equipment and supporting production as a Creative Media Technician, bringing live performances to life as an Events and Venues Technician, or designing content that connects as part of Content Creation and Production, this is your chance to find your place in the industry and develop the hands-on skills that employers are looking for.

And the best bit? You’ll put everything into practice during an extended industry placement with a real employer. That’s weeks of hands-on experience, building your CV, your portfolio, and your confidence.

Equivalent to three A Levels, this T Level prepares you for university, higher apprenticeships, or straight into the creative industries.

If you’ve got the drive, imagination, and ambition, this course is your all-access pass to the world of media.
